When you’re creating a new Twitter password, you might be wondering what the rules and minimum requirements are for your new password.
Minimum length
Use at least 6 characters.
Maximum length
We believe there is none. We tested with 500 characters and it still worked!
Minimum complexity
No numbers or special characters are required, as long as you have minimum 6 characters.
Passwords may not be too obvious neither (e.g. a password like ‘aaaaaa’ is too obvious)
Password history
We didn’t find any requirements towards password history.
Security tip
Mix up letters, numbers and symbol to create a strong instead of a weak password.
